| Step 1: Put a 1.44 floppy disk in your A: drive Step 2: Open your WinMe Explorer and left click on the Step 3: Now right click on the A:drive and select Format, now select Full and click Start. Step 4: When the disk is formatted copy the COMMAND.COM and IO.SYS files from the C:\Windows\Command\EBD folder to the floppy disk. | Step 1: Put your Win98 CD into your CD-ROM drive, if you are presented with the Win98 splash screen and a grey box just click OK on the grey box and then close the Win98 splash screen. When your bootdisk is finished you will see the word done in the DOS window, you can now close the Dos window and with your new bootdisk in drive A: reboot your computer. Now check you can read CDs with your new bootdisk by following these steps 1 Make sure there's a CD in the CD-ROM drive 2 Type X: and hit enter (where X is the drive letter of your CD-ROM Drive ) 3 Type DIR hit enter you should now see the contents of your CD.
