Capture Capture Version 1.4.7 is a utility that allows you to take what you see on your computer screen and save and/or print it as a bitmap (.BMP) file. I use it extensively to create the "screenshots" that accompany the pages at Tob's Webpage. Capture allows you to create screen shots 3 different ways. You can grab an arbitrary portion of the screen, the contents of any selected, open window or even the entire desktop. Capture also has a configurable time delay feature so that you can catch those pesky pop-up menus and dialog boxes before they disappear into oblivion. The "Hide Capture" feature allows you to grab these screenshots without the Capture window in the image. In the end, it really doesn't do much, but what it does--it does well. Capture will only take a snapshot of a rectangular portion of the screen. It does not contain any image-editing features nor does it save images in formats other than bitmap (e.g., GIF or JPG). ClearDocs If your fedup clearing the shortcuts from your Documents folder and going into Windows to clear your Temp folder like I was then Cleardocs is for you. Once installed it sits in your Start menu so with one click your shortcuts or Windows Temp Dir are cleared. Just unzip the file and extract to Cleardocs Dir, Now hit install and thats It. Splitit95 is an excellent way to split large files into smaller chunks. A simple, easy-to-use interface walks you step by step through splitting files up to 2GB into smaller parts. Splitting can be done three different ways: into preset floppy-sized parts (360K through 1.44M) or a custom size, into a specified number of parts, or even divided based on the transfer time at a given baud rate so that you'll know how long a file will take to transfer via modem. Splitit95 supports drag-and-drop file operations and is available through the right-mouse context menu, so files can be rejoined quickly.
