How to make a
Windows 95 Bootdisk


If you Don't want to bother making the bootdisk yourself, then you can    [Download]   it from here

While running Windows 95



Insert a new 1.44 floppy disk in your A: drive

Double click on my computer

Right click on the A: drive Now choose Format

A new window will pop up, tick Full and also tick Copy system files


When the disk is done copy these files from the Windows folder
and paste or Right click on them and choose send to then choose floppy


EMM386.EXEUsed by Config.sys
HIMEM.SYSUsed by Config.sys


Copy these files from the Windows\Command folder
and send or paste them to your floppy boot disk


CHKDSK.EXEQuick check on your Hard Drive
EDIT.COMUsed to edit files
FDISK.EXETo change partitions
FORMAT.EXETo format your Hard Drive
MEM.EXETo check your memory status
MSCDEX.EXENeeded for your CD-ROM to work
SCANDISK.EXEThorough check on your Hard Drive
SYS.COMUsed to put SYSTEM files on your Hard Disk so that the formatted drive can Boot
XCOPY.EXE In case you need to copy files
XCOPY32.EXE More power than xcopy.exe

These are the files I have on my Win95 Boot disk, but the choice is yours
